Crazy Good God, do you know Him? He's somethin' else! And He thinks you are AWESOME! My fifteen minute Episodes eventually became five minute Quick Deep Points. The QDPs will make you ponder! But, it wasn’t until 2012 that the Lord took me on a journey to discover the mystery of the Gospel, the wonder of Jesus’s incarnation, death, resurrection, and ascension. All of it involves us! For over ten years (hey, I’m a slow learner!) He exposed and dismantled religious mindsets that blocked my understanding of who He really is. Crazy good! Join me on a wondrous adventure to encounter and grasp Jesus's finished work. Religious Christianity tells us there are things we have to do or say to get saved. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." What does that mean? Sounds like Jesus did it all. God just wants us to enjoy His life. He freely gives it to all. All we do is RECEIVE! This crazy good God is head over heels in love with you and all mankind. He made us in His image and likeness so He doesn't make junk! God sees the hidden treasure in everyone. The fall of man brought darkened understanding, deception, and ignorance. The first lie was Adam and Eve thought God was holding out on them and really didn't care about them. What a big fat lie! Man still believes God is distant, aloof, angry, disappointed and we must do something to get back to God. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." Now, why do we think we have to do something? Get ready to be wowed! Find out jaw-dropping truths that will expose many lies you've believed about God. If you’ve tried to serve Him and still feel guilty, must do more, just plain worn out, then listen in. The truth is renewing and the Truth is FOR YOU! Hi there, I'm Nancy Teague and welcome to crazy Good God podcast.

00:15 The previous episode I shared a dream about a house with intriguing surprises. I had that in 2006, but not until now did I see deeper insight in what God was trying to show me way back then. My how wondrous we are as dwelling places!

Speaking of dwelling places, the New King James version translates “In My Father's house are many MANSIONS. If it were not so, I would have told you.”

00:45 Now, wouldn't you agree we tend to be literal people. We like solid, substance, tangible, seeable, explainable, understandable. Well, have you ever considered that the realm you came from is nothing? God spoke, Jesus spoke, the Word spoke and it came into being. We came from unseen!

01:08 So, here's Jesus talking about a realm we can't see. But, we sure do make pictures in our mind, giving it substance or certain sizes. Gosh, if we can't even fathom the size of outer space, why do we try to fit God in our realm. His ways are past finding out, yet He wants to be found. In fact, He is in us. In Him, we live and move and have our being. We really don't know how big we are.

01:42 But maybe understanding what Jesus was saying about mansions will help us a little in our journey towards knowing our true wondrous identity. Do you think Jesus is talking about literal mansions? Mansions that you will live in in heaven? Sounds pretty cool, but we need to check out additional Greek meanings to really understand.

02:06 Jesus said, “In/inside/within My Father’s house - house means dwelling, household, the family - there are (which means ‘I am’). I am many/multitudinous/plenteous mansions.’ Jesus is saying, in effect, ‘I am many mansions inside my father's household.’

02:32 Okay, what are mansions in the Greek - it means an abiding, an abode, a dwelling place. And it comes from another word that means - to stay, abide, remain, continue to be present. So, in other words, we could say ‘In My Father's household I am many dwelling places and My dwelling places will always abide, remain, stay with Me’. What a place to be!

03:00 You as a dwelling place, as a living being made in His image and likeness, are always present before Him, and are meant to abide. You at your deepest core are about BELONGING. In your Father's household you belong. You will never, ever not belong.

03:28 Sadly, religion in its small legalistic structures say, ‘You might not belong if...’ Jesus is bigger than that and He's all about IN and ABIDING.

03:42 Jesus continues, ‘And if I go and prepare a place for you, which means I am going to go and it's going to happen, ‘Again I am coming and will receive you to Myself that where I am also you be.’ Jesus is talking about His death and resurrection. Even though the disciples didn't get it at the time. And we are included in His death and resurrection.

04:10 Expanded Greek meaning – ‘Indeed I do go - go means I journey. ‘Go’ in the Greek also means die. Yes ‘go’ also means ‘die’. ‘I go, I die moreover, to prepare/make ready a place for you.’ In the Oriental culture, to prepare a place, it meant making a smooth highway for royalty. Hey, check out Isaiah 40 verses 3 through 5 and the places that are referenced speak to mankind’s conditions. It's amazing!

04:45 Jesus continued ‘Again I am coming’, meaning I already came in the incarnation and I'm going to come again ‘and will receive you’. The word receive means to aggressively take hold of you with strong personal initiative by being close alongside you. ‘And I will receive you to Myself. ‘To’ means face to face with interaction and reciprocity. There's a lot of connecting going on here!

05:16 Jesus’ explanation of where He's going and then coming back to say, here's your special place of abiding - is all about relationship. We are his house. We are his family. He prepared a place, a face to face relationship. His lavish way shows us how much we are loved, enjoyed, and belong.
