Crazy Good God

Crazy Good God, do you know Him? He's somethin' else! And He thinks you are AWESOME! My fifteen minute Episodes eventually became five minute Quick Deep Points. The QDPs will make you ponder! Episodes launch every Wednesday morning 5am. Since a child I was told about Jesus. Over the years there have been difficulties and losses that have heightened understanding of who He is. I was involved in numerous ministries and church leadership for several decades. There were many opportunities to see God at work. But, it wasn’t until 2012 that the Lord took me on a journey to discover the mystery of the Gospel, the wonder of Jesus’s incarnation, death, resurrection, and ascension. All of it involves us! For over ten years (hey, I’m a slow learner!) He exposed and dismantled religious mindsets that blocked my understanding of who He really is. Crazy good! Join me on a wondrous adventure to encounter and grasp Jesus's finished work. Religious Christianity tells us there are things we have to do or say to get saved. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." What does that mean? Sounds like Jesus did it all. God just wants us to enjoy His life. He freely gives it to all. All we do is RECEIVE! This crazy good God is head over heels in love with you and all mankind. He made us in His image and likeness so He doesn't make junk! God sees the hidden treasure in everyone. The fall of man brought darkened understanding, deception, and ignorance. The first lie was Adam and Eve thought God was holding out on them and really didn't care about them. What a big fat lie! Man still believes God is distant, aloof, angry, disappointed and we must do something to get back to God. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." Now, why do we think we have to do something? Get ready to be wowed! Find out jaw-dropping truths that will expose many lies you've believed about God. If you’ve tried to serve Him and still feel guilty, must do more, just plain worn out, then listen in. The truth is renewing and the Truth is FOR YOU! E42 The Lord reminded me of my dream from 2006 as I was considering Jesus' words "In My Father's house are many mansions." He began to give me deeper understanding of this dream in light of Jesus' finished work. He even connected it to mansions! It is the most strange and amazing dream about buying a new house and begins with me checking out the bathroom. Despite my problem in the dream God was showing our true identity. Isn't it amazing how God can make great points even through a dream!

Hi there, welcome to crazy Good God podcast. I'm Nancy Teague and thanks for listening.

00:17 The previous episode #41 gave understanding of the phrase Heaven and Earth will pass away and there will be a new Heaven and new Earth. Fascinating dynamics about all mankind.

I want to continue in that bigness of who we are. I've been drawn towards Jesus’ statement, ‘In my Father's house are many mansions and I go to prepare a place for you’. This got me to thinking of a dream I had December 27th, 2006. For the little understanding I had of it way back then, I now see its connection to mansions!

00:57 This episode is about an intriguing dream starting in the bathroom, of all places. In the dream we had sold our house and bought a smaller one. I'm checking out the bathroom. A huge circular mirror is hanging straight across from the toilet. Talk about awkward. The wall on which the mirror hung was painted half red, half green, with a slight S curve where the two colors touched.

01:27 Then I see corner windows with lots of light shining through the panes of glass. Sitting on a shelf in front of the corner windows was a miniature forest of Evergreen trees! Strange. Next to the forest is a bathtub. Now I don't like to take baths and so I start thinking, ‘How can I change this bathtub into a shower?’ Suddenly I think, ‘Why did we sell our house!? Our former house had three full bathrooms and a half bath!’ I am upset realizing there's only one bathroom. I must find my husband.

02:09 As I begin to leave the bathroom I glanced to my left and am surprised to see a long hallway with many doors! I'm thinking in the dream – ‘I didn't know there were all those rooms.’ And then I look straight across the hallway from the bathroom and see an entrance to a stair landing with the stairs going up to another landing, suggesting more stairs. What amazed me was I saw glory radiating down the upper stairs! The glory was a golden amber color. My thought in the dream, ‘I didn't know there was another level.’

02:49 Here I see many rooms, more levels and glory coming down, but I am so focused on ‘There's only one bathroom!’ I rushed down the corridor to my right looking for my husband. Finally find him calmly sitting on a loveseat in another room. In exasperation, I say, “Why did we sell our house!?” I woke up like ‘what just happened? Oh, we didn't sell our house, phew!’ But then, what did I just see!? What does it mean?

03:25 There was some understanding way back in 2006, but now 16 years later, grasping the significance of Jesus’ finished work and redemption of mankind, I am wowed by this dream. My limited understanding in 2006 reminds me when Jesus told his disciples, “I have much to tell you, but you are not able to grasp it now”.

03:52 Here's some fuller insight, but who knows, He might show me more later! And to encourage you, if you dream, have visions, sense things - be willing to wait on the Lord for more understanding. There's always more depth He has for us.

04:11 In the dream, the big circular mirror hanging across from the toilet - this placement is a picture of false identity. We see surface identity - sinner, wretched, living in shame, guilt. Jesus says otherwise. Our true identity is IN Him. In truth, we are mirror images and expressions of Jesus. The Word says we are innocent and blameless before time began. We are enjoyed and fully redeemed in Jesus.

04:44 The circular shape of the mirror speaks of Jesus. He is the circumference and the center of all creation. There is nothing outside of Him. He made all things, holds everything together, and sustains all things. The red/green wall. Red is speaks of God’s passion and love for humanity. The green - new life growth, points to the work of the Holy Spirit. The slight S curve where the two colors meet speaks of Savior/salvation.

05:17 The miniature forest sitting by the window reminded me of the saying “You can't see the forest for the trees.” Step back and see more. Now I see religion traps us in the forest of do's and don'ts. We lose sight of God and can't even see others clearly. But the higher view stepping back, seeing the miniature forest as a whole made me think of the overarching finished work of Jesus - which is about the whole forest, all of humanity, and it's about relationship! The forest of Evergreens are green no matter the season. The forest was thriving in the light from the windows. We thrive in Jesus’ light.

06:05 The bathtub about resting, relaxing, abiding. But in the dream, I wanted to turn it into a shower so I could be in and out. Jesus was trying to show me it's about continually abiding in Him. This doesn't mean increase your Bible reading, study time, prayer time, worship time, even serving. This is actually a place of knowing who you are IN Him, and He IN you. It brings an ease in doing life. It brings assurance and confidence for each day, no matter what comes down.

06:43 Looking out the bathroom doorway and shocked to see a long hallway with many doors - this seeming small house had more to it than I realized. I now get it - He was trying to show me I was the house!

07:01 Then across from the bathroom a landing, with the staircase going up and glory coming down. Like, whoa! There's always more levels awaiting for us WITHIN us and even discovering them in other people. Glory - doxa Greek means what evokes a good opinion, that something has inherent intrinsic worth.

07:29 Here's glory flooding down the stairway of my new home. You know what? I just thought of this. God is always about NEW – new new new, always fresh! My goodness, who are we anyway?

07:48 What was my hang up on only one bathroom? I think it was about convenience. Is there always convenience in the Lord? No. Life brings lots of inconveniences, but there is only one place to abide, especially in the midst of inconveniences. It's in Jesus. It's like Mary at Jesus’ feet hanging on to every word and on to His presence. Jesus said too busy Martha, “Mary has chosen that good part which will not be taken away from her”. What was that good part? Mary had revelation of rich relationship with Jesus.

08:34 Then the last part of the dream, I find my husband, Hal, calmly sitting on the loveseat. The bottom line of that is about the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Jesus, why He made us, why we're here. It's LOVE.

08:56 I thought the house was small in the dream and little did I realize how big it was. We are like that house. We are bigger than we realize. Made IN His image, made FOR His image. We are the temple of God, the temple of the Holy Spirit. Next week we will dig into Jesus words ‘In my Father's house or many mansions’. It's bigger and better than we’ve thought.
