Crazy Good God

Crazy Good God, do you know Him? He's somethin' else! And He thinks you are AWESOME! My fifteen minute Episodes eventually became five minute Quick Deep Points. The QDPs will make you ponder! Episodes launch every Wednesday morning 5am. Since a child I was told about Jesus. Over the years there have been difficulties and losses that have heightened understanding of who He is. I was involved in numerous ministries and church leadership for several decades. There were many opportunities to see God at work. But, it wasn’t until 2012 that the Lord took me on a journey to discover the mystery of the Gospel, the wonder of Jesus’s incarnation, death, resurrection, and ascension. All of it involves us! For over ten years (hey, I’m a slow learner!) He exposed and dismantled religious mindsets that blocked my understanding of who He really is. Crazy good! Join me on a wondrous adventure to encounter and grasp Jesus's finished work. Religious Christianity tells us there are things we have to do or say to get saved. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." What does that mean? Sounds like Jesus did it all. God just wants us to enjoy His life. He freely gives it to all. All we do is RECEIVE! This crazy good God is head over heels in love with you and all mankind. He made us in His image and likeness so He doesn't make junk! God sees the hidden treasure in everyone. The fall of man brought darkened understanding, deception, and ignorance. The first lie was Adam and Eve thought God was holding out on them and really didn't care about them. What a big fat lie! Man still believes God is distant, aloof, angry, disappointed and we must do something to get back to God. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." Now, why do we think we have to do something? Get ready to be wowed! Find out jaw-dropping truths that will expose many lies you've believed about God. If you’ve tried to serve Him and still feel guilty, must do more, just plain worn out, then listen in. The truth is renewing and the Truth is FOR YOU! If you don't know God, never heard of Jesus, or could care less about God, then check out Crazy Good God podcast. You will be surprised and discover God is actually fun! I will even share some fascinating visions and dreams God has given me. They mean even more in light of Jesus' finished work. How cool is that?! QUESTIONS COMMENTS - I'd love to hear from you! Why it’s hard to believe Jesus really is everywhere Was Jesus in the Garden Do we underestimate Jesus

#24 Why do we have trouble believing Jesus is everywhere throughout all of human history. Time and place is our go to reference for life. It's natural to only insert Jesus, thus easily limiting presence in our minds. If Jesus is everywhere, how did He show up in the garden? Why is it so easy to underestimate God and His goodness?

Hi there, I'm Nancy Teague and welcome to crazy Good God podcast! If you want to learn more about the podcast and me, go to crazygoodgod.org. As a reminder, any scriptures that I reference will be at the bottom of the Transcript.

00:24 Today for a quick deep point, we're going to talk about finding Jesus. We tend to look at Jesus as an insertion because we live in a time and a place. We're very oriented with our earthly comings and goings.

00:44 So we say in His incarnation Jesus showed up. Huh! Now He's here on earth walking around. Oh, then He died. I don't know where He went. He's up there, somewhere, out there!

00:55 We really do not grasp Jesus, God, Holy Spirit - they are always immediately intimately present. He is now kind of God! He doesn't live in the past, He doesn't live in the future. Actually, He encompasses, holds all together, He fills all past present future.

01:22 Because we are oriented towards time place space - we really have this weakness of underestimating God, underestimating Jesus. How many of us have ever over exaggerated who God is?

01:42 He's just too big and He's too wondrous!. But, He wants us to grow in that revelation.

01:51 How about this verse in Ecclesiastes to help us grow in revelation. “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity in our hearts except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”

02:13 Isn't that incredible?! And even look the present tense of does. Not did, not will do. He just does it. It's now to God all the time.

02:27 If Jesus is now all the time, then where was He in the Garden of Eden? I think one of the most spectacular places he was is illustrated by Robert Farrar Capon's statement that, “Adam was a dead ringer for Jesus Christ!” I mean, how amazing is that thought?

02:53 Now we want to think that – well, we have to wait till Jesus came, became a man, was Incarnate - and so we insert Him in that time and in that place. And He had to do certain things in order to finish the work.

03:08 We can bandy about the point - the Lamb of God slain before the foundation of the world, but we don't apply that to all of history, to even our lives today and other peoples’ lives.

03:22 But here's Adam and Eve, created in the image of God, they fell. The treasure of Jesus made by Him. The light shines in the darkness. Here's this incredible work of salvation, finished before He even made man in the Garden. Now that can make your head hurt. It's like, I'm trying to get around that most wondrous Truth. So, it really is like, we don't ever over-exaggerate God, but we sure do underestimate Him.

03:58 Let's look at another part of the Garden of Eden in terms of Jesus's presence. Some of you may have already heard this, The Tree of Life is in the Garden of Eden. Have you ever taken it further down the road of Jesus's presence, that the Tree of Life was ultimately made to be the cross on which He would die - when death would happen to all mankind because Jesus fully represented all of mankind.

04:30 Then the Tree concludes at the end of the Book of Revelation - the Tree was on either side of the River and its leaves were for the healing of the nations. Jesus, once again, He's the Beginning and the End, and He fills everything in between.

04:51 What a crazy good God. We really can find Jesus everywhere. Goodness gracious, to have revelation of God and Jesus so that we stop underestimating Them.

Until next Wednesday, Bliss to you and never forget God is absolutely crazy about you!
