Join me on a wondrous adventure to encounter and grasp Jesus's finished work. Religious Christianity tells us there are things we have to do or say to get saved. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." What does that mean? Sounds like Jesus did it all. God just wants us to enjoy His life. He freely gives it to all. All we do is RECEIVE! This crazy good God is head over heels in love with you and all mankind. He made us in His image and likeness so He doesn't make junk! God sees the hidden treasure in everyone. The fall of man brought darkened understanding, deception, and ignorance. The first lie was Adam and Eve thought God was holding out on them and really didn't care about them. What a big fat lie! Man still believes God is distant, aloof, angry, disappointed and we must do something to get back to God. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." Now, why do we think we have to do something? Get ready to be wowed! Find out jaw-dropping truths that will expose many lies you've believed about God. 0:00:09.6 S1: Hi there! Welcome to Crazy Good God podcast. I'm Nancy Teague and thanks for joining me. Check out www.crazygoodgod.org for more information about me and this podcast. Today's Quick Deep Point is actually a Plus. About taint and scars. Have you ever thought about His scars? I hadn't. As I pondered them, I was amazed at what they say! So much there! To get into the scar topic, we need to touch on hell. Some will wonder if I have a fixation on hell because starting with Episode Number 13, What is hell? Where is hell? Why Hell?, the following episodes after Number 13 became QDPs on some aspect of Hell and the pure Gospel. But you know what? A big part of religious Christianity is about hell. The religious gospel says, ‘You've got to get saved. It's up to you. Otherwise, you go to hell.’

0:01:12.4 S2: Why is hell such a big part of the religious gospel? Because, we are doers. We have to do something! Their ‘good news’ will even scare people into heaven in order to avoid hell.

0:01:26.8 S1: What kind of good news is that? I never realized there are so many scriptures that say ALL humanity is already saved because of who Jesus is, where He is, and what He did at the cross. My goodness, how the religious gospel has watered down the foolishness of the power and wisdom of God and His everlasting loving kindness toward all. Many believers, caught up in religious Christianity, have this strange gratitude of hell because they just know certain people deserve hell. It's like a vindictive mindset that is projected onto God. We think our judgments are God's judgments. We justify our retaliatory mindsets. It's hard to get free from that religious mindset. I know, I've been there. Only by Holy Spirit revelation of Jesus’s “It is finished.”, do we begin to really see the wondrous all-encompassing Salvation through grace, which really is Good News! Tradition has blinded religious Christianity to who God really is and to even see hell as a provision from God for those who reject Jesus finished work. Remember, Jesus fills all things and holds all things together. Some will say ‘Hell is separation from God.’ I guess the reasoning goes that a holy God would not possibly taint Heaven with the likes of people they think deserve hell.

0:03:08.4 S1: Hey, you know what, we don't even understand the word holy. The religious-oriented minds say ‘They are sinners and never got saved. They did heinous things. Or, they turned away from Jesus. So go to hell. Right? Or some will sadly sigh and say, ‘They go to hell.’ But scripture say, Jesus took away the sin of the world. John 1:29. Now note, that is not plural sins. It is THE SIN. And in the Greek, sin means the loss, the forfeiture, the error, the having no substance, the emptiness. In 2 Corinthians 5:14 Paul says, “One died for all. Therefore, all died.” God doesn't remember our sins anymore - Hebrews 10:17 How can ALL already be saved?! How come we don't have to ask to get saved? Well, taint and scars help us understand. Scripture says, Jesus was without sin, but then the One without sin (without emptiness) became sin! So, we could say Jesus was tainted by sin. 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:24 Taint means to contaminate, morally corrupt, sully, infect, tarnish, dishonor, disgrace. In fact, Jesus was tainted by all past, present, future sin of mankind. No less! Remember, John's “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

0:05:05.4 S1: And Paul's “One died for all, therefore, all died.” Jesus died, ALL died with Him, in Him! Romans 6:3 How is that possible? I'm still alive. You're still alive and listening to me. How could I have died, or you died, when we weren't even born yet?! ALL died- a wondrous mystery.

0:05:33.4 S2: It makes no sense to our minds, to reason, to analysis. It's only understood by revelation. In light of Jesus taking on the sins of the world and everyone dying in Him -

0:05:48.2 S1: Jesus could say, ‘Hey, I wear the taint of your sin, you're emptiness, you're loss in your true identity. My scars are eternal proof of what I did to restore mankind’s true identity - that is, made in My image and likeness. You have my fullness! My scars forever show My finished work for all.’ Some might object to this taint description, saying, ‘But, His kingdom is about righteousness!’ Indeed! But, it has nothing to do with our righteousness. Isaiah 64:6 – ‘Your (my) righteousness is as filthy rags.” Kind of offensive, huh? But once we fully see the Kingdom is about the righteousness of Christ Jesus and freely given to ALL, we will glory in wearing His righteousness and for others to put it on too - even those who we are just sure are going to hell or in hell. Listen to this, 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For our sake (our sake!) He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him, we become the righteousness of God”. Hey, in the Greek, there is no... ‘might become righteous’. Some translations say that – ‘might become’. There's no might. We are! There's no maybe. We are righteous in Him. We can receive or reject His righteousness. To reject it doesn't change the truth that He restored our true identity.

0:07:44.0 S1: Jesus was willingly tainted. His scars prove it. His scars are our scars. They eternally say, ‘Welcome all.’ Welcome, even to those in hell who reject Him. And the Spirit continues to woo them saying, ‘It's eternal good news! Have Jesus's righteousness. It's free! Just receive.’ May Holy Spirit, open the eyes of your heart to be wowed by Jesus's finished work, even shown in the scars of us that He carries eternally. Now, next on scars, we'll find out what really happened when Jesus showed His scars to His disciples and Thomas! You will be surprised and very encouraged!
