Crazy Good God, do you know Him? He's somethin' else! And He thinks you are AWESOME! My fifteen minute Episodes eventually became five minute Quick Deep Points. The QDPs will make you ponder! Episodes launch every Wednesday morning 5am. Since a child I was told about Jesus. Over the years there have been difficulties and losses that have heightened understanding of who He is. I was involved in numerous ministries and church leadership for several decades. There were many opportunities to see God at work. But, it wasn’t until 2012 that the Lord took me on a journey to discover the mystery of the Gospel, the wonder of Jesus’s incarnation, death, resurrection, and ascension. All of it involves us! For over ten years (hey, I’m a slow learner!) He exposed and dismantled religious mindsets that blocked my understanding of who He really is. Crazy good! Join me on a wondrous adventure to encounter and grasp Jesus's finished work. Religious Christianity tells us there are things we have to do or say to get saved. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." What does that mean? Sounds like Jesus did it all. God just wants us to enjoy His life. He freely gives it to all. All we do is RECEIVE! This crazy good God is head over heels in love with you and all mankind. He made us in His image and likeness so He doesn't make junk! God sees the hidden treasure in everyone. The fall of man brought darkened understanding, deception, and ignorance. The first lie was Adam and Eve thought God was holding out on them and really didn't care about them. What a big fat lie! Man still believes God is distant, aloof, angry, disappointed and we must do something to get back to God. But, Jesus said, "It is finished." Now, why do we think we have to do something? Get ready to be wowed! Find out jaw-dropping truths that will expose many lies you've believed about God. If you’ve tried to serve Him and still feel guilty, must do more, just plain worn out, then listen in. The truth is renewing and the Truth is FOR YOU! #18 Quick Deep Point. Listen for five minutes to find out why we think God is angry. Is there something good about His wrath? Gosh, religious tradition shows wrath as a scary dynamic of God. But how does that fit in with His passionate “I have loved you with everlasting love.”? Have you ever thought of God's love as being strong? Invincible? How about hell - can it stop God's crazy love from still loving those who reject His undying acceptance of them?

0:00:16.6 S2: I'm Nancy Teague, and thanks for joining me. Go to www.crazygoodgod.org for info about me, why, what, where, when. Today, looking at anger, wrath, love, and how hell fits in there. Have you considered the influence of Heathens on Christianity? When bad things happened to the heathens, they believed the gods were angry and upset with them. So, they appeased the gods with sacrifices. Did God love the pagans way back when? After all, He said, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Jeremiah 31:3 “God is impartial.” Acts 10:34, Romans 2:6 “Deep darkness covers the people, but they, the Gentiles. shall come to Your light.” Isaiah 62:3 ‘Jesus descended and ascended to fill all things.’ Ephesians 4:10 Sure looks like he had the pagans covered to. Have you ever considered the carry over into Christian beliefs of the pagans confused mindset of angry gods who need to be appeased with sacrifices! God accommodated this twisted mindset. Think of all the sacrifices and rituals Moses put in place at God's instructions. The mystery - they all pointed to Jesus, the sacrifice to end ALL sacrifices. Now, here's some irony, Isaiah 1, verses 11-14, God says, ‘What is the purpose of all your sacrifices? They weary me, they’re futile.

0:02:14.1 S2: They're an abomination.” What?! Wuh..! God was not angry. He didn't need to be appeased. God is in love! And He just knew they couldn't see that, so He accommodated them. Gosh, today, don't our mindsets contain an angry God? I wonder what our futile sacrifices to Him are today? Speaking of anger, how about wrath? Does God's wrath scare you? Do you know that wrath in the Greek, also means passion? Song of Songs, Chapter 8, Verses 6 and 7, “For love is as strong as death. Its flames are flames of fire, a most vehement flame. Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it.” Talk about an intense picture of wrath! Note a poor translation in this King James version is their ‘vehement flame’. Now, doesn't that incite a great fear of God? Here's the meaning of the English word ‘vehement’ - showing strong often angry feelings, aggressive, assertive, inclined to react violently, great energy or force. Talk about a scary word! Is this how we would describe Jesus, His ministry, and friend of sinners? Remember Jesus said, “I came to show you the Father.” God is not vehement, He is passionate! The greatest expression of Their passion was the cross and death.

0:04:04.1 S2: When I looked up the Hebrew word, which is feminine, it means Yahweh flame, powerful flame, a flare of fire, flaming flame. Most other translations use “the very flame of the Lord”. This flame reminds me of Holy Spirit! Scripturally, she is recognized as feminine. And in Luke 3:16, Jesus says, He will ‘baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire’. That's a good thing! Now, get this. Death is not the end of love loving. We think someone dies. They never got saved. That's it for them. Not so fast here. Now, how about many waters cannot quench love, nor can floods drown it? Makes me think of those in the flood in Noah's day. Hmm. Okay, picture this eternal powerful flame, flaming for all who believe Jesus and for those who choose God's provisional hell because they continue to deny His acceptance of them. Truly, God is not angry. He's just passionately in love with all. What a crazy good God! Until next Wednesday, Bliss to you and never forget, God is absolutely crazy about you!
